Lorena Torres Peña

Administrative Assistant

Lorena Torres Peña (she, her) is currently serving as the Administrative Assistant at the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative. In this role, she manages the CEO's calendar, handles travel logistics, and provides crucial administrative support for the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative and its two coalitions: the Global Partner Network for Feminist Foreign Policy and the Coalition for a Feminist Foreign Policy in the United States.

Lorena brings extensive administrative and legal experience to the Collaborative. Her journey began in New York City state politics, supporting data entry, strategic planning and constituency outreach for City Council Member Margaret Chin and State Senator Andrew Gounardes. In line with her commitment to social justice, she worked as a Legal Intern at the New York-based LatinoJusticePRLDEF, supporting the management of its Excluded Workers Fund and researching policy brutality cases in New York City and Long Island. She also worked as a Legal Intern at the Brooklyn Kings County Supreme Court and Murray Richman Law Offices. Most recently, Lorena served as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Dominion Management.

Lorena holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Baruch College, where she double majored in Political Science and Sociology and minored in Law and Policy. Fueled by a passion for justice and a dynamic skill set developed in the legal field, she brings a unique perspective to her role at Feminist Foreign Policy. She speaks English and Spanish.
