On August 12-15, 2025, our Founder and CEO Lyric Thompson and Senior Fellow and former Special Representative for FFP of Argentina Marita Perceval shaped several discussions on the synergies between FFP and the care economy at events organized within the framework of the XVI Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean in Mexico City.

The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development was a significant moment aimed at mobilizing global resources for development. Given governments’ coordinated opposition to gender equality financing in this process, ensuring robust attention was always an uphill struggle. Eyes were on Canada to see if they would play a meaningful role in mobilizing support and resources. How did they deliver? Our Senior Fellow Beth Woroniuk weighs in.

Greetings from a sweltering summer in the Northern Hemisphere, where our team has been hard at work conducting new research and convening critical conversations on a number of topics, most notably the intersections and tensions between feminist foreign policies and the financing for development agenda—the topic of a recent UN conference held in Seville, Spain.

In her interview with Canadian news outlet CTV News, our Senior Fellow Beth Woroniuk, who also serves as an appointee of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council, underlines that gender equality, climate change and global rights issues are being sidelined at this year’s G7 Summit.

On the margins of the UNGA79 High-Level Week, the Ministers of the Feminist Foreign Policy Plus Group (FFP+) met, for the third time in this context, with the purpose of strengthening and renewing their political commitments to feminist foreign policies. The FFP+ invited Ministers from other Member States and civil society organizations, including the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative, that are committed to the advancement of gender equality.

The Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative (the Collaborative) invites journalists to join our virtual press briefing that will include panelists from the Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO), Interruptrr and others. The briefing will provide journalists with expert insights on how FFP governments are shaping and engaging in these three defining events and what this could mean for the future of multilateral engagement.

At this pivotal moment, our panel of experts will discuss feminist foreign policy’s growing influence on global geopolitics, bipartisan opportunities for U.S. political leaders to advance its worldwide impact and how a feminist foreign policy agenda can help the feminist philanthropy movement and work of local women’s funds in the U.S.
