September 15, 2023: Recap of the meeting

On August 31 and September 1, 2023 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we supported our partner Fundación para Estudio e Investigación de la Mujer alongside the Special Representation for Feminist Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic in organizing the High-Level Meeting on Feminist Foreign Policy: Vision and Challenges from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The two-day meeting brought together the governments of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the Netherlands and Spain, alongside feminist civil society organizations and multilateral and bi-regional representatives from UN Women, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the EU-LAC Foundation. The convening featured a series of dialogues on FFP implementation, experiences from across the region and globally, and analysis of relevant issue areas and advocacy opportunities. To conclude, the governments released a declaration reiterating their commitment to advancing FFP in their countries and across Latin America and the Caribbean.
