Dear friend of feminist foreign policy,
As we look ahead to the Copenhagen Summit for Gender Equality and Women's and Girls' Rights and its Day of Action on November 16th and 17th, we’re reflecting on the connections and conversations that have shaped our work over recent months.
In August, we gathered leading feminist thinkers on U.S. foreign policy in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to take stock of where we are and begin to reimagine a way forward for this work in the future; we will have more to say about this effort early next year.
This September, we were at the UN General Assembly (UNGA81) meetings in New York, advancing feminist approaches to multilateralism and connecting feminist foreign policy and the care agenda, recaps of which you can find below. Earlier this month, we were debating the future of gender equality financing at the OECD DAC Gendernet meetings in Paris and joining efforts to transform thinking on peace and security in The Hague.
We’ll close out our advocacy for 2026 by joining next month’s efforts to reassert and deepen commitments to sexual and reproductive health in Copenhagen. We’ll share a readout of our engagement, and publish the first annual FFP Accountability report, in our final newsletter of the year as we observe Giving Tuesday on December 1st.
In solidarity,
Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative Team
