About the Event
Mexico has made several advances in gender equality. Having become the first country in the Global South to adopt a feminist foreign policy in 2020. As the only OECD country with full gender parity in parliament as of 2025, Mexico has driven and challenged the considerations diplomats, policymakers and scholars need to make for gender equality.
Co-organized by The Advocacy Team and the Embassy of Mexico in the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, this webinar, entitled “Exploring Feminist Foreign Policy in Practice: Insights from Mexico and Beyond,” aimed to honor the progress made toward gender equality with and through feminist foreign policy and to reflect on the work that remains.
